Please come and attend one of our events at the EG pavilion! We offer many events where you can learn, discuss, build and have fun. We also have volunteer shifts that need you! Stop by and sign up for a shift or preregister for a nature walk.

6:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Raise a Glass to Hot Spring Drivers: Come join us in thanking our hardworking Hot Spring Patrol Drivers - getting our volunteers out and back to Trego, Black Rock and Double Hot safely!

6:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Camp Potluck: Come and meet your Earth Guardian camp mates! We’ll be sharing nosh and opening the EG bar for business

10:00 AM - 11:30 AM: Earth Yoga: Bring your own mat. Be there to praise the earth and get your head in the right place to Leave only Positive Traces.
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM – Earth Guardian Information Desk Training – Calling all Earth Guardians ready to volunteer to man our an information desk where folks can come for information. We need YOU at our front line. This is a training session for desk volunteers! All EG's staying at the EG camp on the esplanade are expected to do at least one desk shift. Shifts run from 9-noon, noon-3 and 3-6pm each day of the event.
4:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Nature Walk Team Leader and Naturalist Meeting - This is a meet and greet for our trip leaders. It will be a chance to orient ourselves, coordinate and complete paperwork.
9:00 - Midnight – LNTV – The Amazing World Around Us – Environmental Movies on the Playa, come and watch beautiful images of planet Earth. and learn about our unique planet

6:00 AM – 7:00 AM: Sacred Earth Meditation: Connecting with the land and acknowledging the ancestors and custodians.
7:00 AM – Noon: Nature Walk -: Interested in wildlife outside of Black Rock City? Bring hat, water and clothes suitable for desert hiking. The theme for this trip to local springs is the desert morning and the environments of the Black Rock Desert We’ll do some bird-watching and learn about ecotypes and plants. Pre-registration at Earth Guardians pavilion required. Andy Baker is your tour leader.
9:00 AM -10:00 AM: Tai Chi/Qi Gong. Balance your qi w/ the soothing effects of gentle coordinated moves w/ the masses! Bathe in the synergistic flow created by you and those around you. Class by w/ Mark Kuehne L.A.c.
10:00 AM - 11:30 AM - Earth Yoga: Bring your own mat. Be there to praise the earth and get your head in the right place to Leave only Positive Traces.
11:30 – 12:30 PM: Geology of the Black Rock Desert - Ever wondered how those amazing land forms all around Black Rock City? Come and learn how they formed and what they're about from the famous geologic lecture team of Stan West and Mike Bilbo.
3:30 – 5:00 PM: BRC MOOP Sweep: We know that you're planning on doing a MOOP line sweep for your camp and neighborhood to keep you green on the MOOP map -right! Wondering how to perfect your MOOP line sweep skills? Come and join us with the Playa Restoration Experts from DPW for a fun BRC MOOP sweep! Bring your MOOP bag, a hat and water. We'll do our good deed for the day, then enjoy libations back at the Earth Guardian Pavilion.
5:00 – 8:00 PM: Celebrating MOOP Hunters . After our BRC MOOP Sweep with DPW's Playa Restoration crew, we will follow with earthy libations from the EG bar and some Earth-produced nosh to celebrate the high valued MOOP hunters! All LNT/Green camps (we know that you're MOOP hunters as well) invited!
9:00 PM - Midnight – LNTV: Is it our 11th Hour or Are We Evolving? – Environmental Movies on the Playa, come the legacy of man’s development on earth and learn what you can do to turn the tidel.

7:00 AM – 8:00 AM: Sacred Earth Meditation: Celebrating the earth and all her diversity. Connect to the animal and plant spirits. Feel free to dress up and/or body paint yourself to represent one aspect of the earth's diversity (eg animal, plant or human).
8:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Ecological Restoration Work Party - We’re going back to the Coyote Dunes restoration site, which we restored in 2007 with Friends of Black Rock, to do additional improvements. Bring hat, water and clothes suitable for desert hiking. Pre-registration at Earth Guardians pavilion required.

4:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Eco-Fabulous Re-Fashion Runway Show - Strut your Playa friendly, Eco-Fabulous Re-Fashioned Playa-wear. The theme this year, EVOLUTION, applies here, with the evolving of your re-purposed materials. All are invited to participate! So pull out those sewing machines, that box of pins! Go through the costume bins, the salvaged materials and use up those old tights with the runs up the legs, the bicycle tires with the holes, the likely and the unlikely. Please contact Sassy (ms.sassafrassy at gmail.com) for more information, and to be included in the line up.
5:00 PM – 9:00 PM: Nature Walk - Interested in wildlife outside of Black Rock City? The theme for this trip is the desert nighttime and the history of the Black Rock Desert We’ll do some wildlife spotting and scorpion hunting and end with a sunset meditation. 9:00-11:00 – LNTV: Midnight – LNTV: How Will We Be Transported Around Our World In the Future? – Environmental Movies on the Playa Tired of paying $$$ for gas? Come and learn what really happened to electric cars and what our options are for the future.

8:00 AM – 2:00PM: Nature Walk - Interested in wildlife outside of Black Rock City? The themes for this trip are the natural and historical aspects of the Black Rock Desert. We’ll be connecting and experiencing nature as well as doing some photography. Bring hat, water and clothes suitable for desert hiking as well as cameras. Pre-registration at Earth Guardians pavilion required. Andy Baker is your tour leader.

11:30 AM – 12:30 PM - Toxic Avenger Training - Toxic avengers monitor the burn platforms on Sunday, yes we watch fire! We're helping ensure that no nasties go into the burn platforms and that the platforms aren't overloaded so that our precious playa stays unscarred. Come to sign up and learn about this effort.

4:30 PM – 5:30 PM - Harvesting Rainwater and Greywater: What is your greywater doing at home and on the playa? Come hear greywater use advocate Brad Lancaster and greywater evaporative expert Larry Breed talk about systems to harvest rainwater and greywater to make your home and camp more sustainable. 5:30 PM – 6:00 PM – Manifesting Sustainable Freedom – Come and hear Meg West from Arcadia Studio talk about ways to overcome roadblocks to sustainability in our culture. She’ll use examples from Burning Man, Permaculture, and her work as a Landscape architect and LEED
Accredited Professional.
9:00-Midnight – LNTV: Suburbia – Environmental Movies on the Playa - Have we evolved from the American Dream? How do we come back from urban sprawl? Come see movies related to Suburbia, how we want to live now and what are the impacts.

11:30 AM - 12:30 PM – CARPE DUCTEM - Duct Tape Workshop: - Duct Tape is art in and of itself. It is intrinsically beautiful either on or off of the roll. But, if you're like us, and we know we are, you just can't stop yourself from creating stuff with duct tape. Come and join us to try some hands on duct tape crafts.
1:00 – 2:00 PM: Geology of the Black Rock Desert - Ever wondered how those amazing land forms all around Black Rock City? Come and learn from Terry Wright, PhD. retired professor of geology from Sonoma State University. His specialty is bringing the latest interpretations of mountain building and plate tectonics to the creative general public. He will focus on the origin of the bedrock units and mountains of the black rock desert in terms of plate tectonics finishing with the recent history of faulting and lake deposits.
10:00-Midnight – LNTV Stuff- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle - Environmental Movies on the Playa - come and help us ruminate on our stuff, how to reduce and recyce it! View shared video stories of stuff.

Toxic Avengers! - Come help us tend the fires of Black Rock City to ensure that
no nasties are burned and that the burn platform's aren't overloaded. Shifts are from 9-noon, noon-3pm, 3pm -6pm and 6pm-9pm. If you are interested in volunteering for this group, please try to come to the orientation meeting Friday at 11:30 am at the pavilion.
6:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Camp Potluck: Come and hang out with your Earth Guardian camp mates for one last get together! We’ll be sharing nosh and closing the EG bar for business!
